Досліджено питання походження терміна "Близький Схід" та його використання головними світовими державами(Великою Британією, США, СРСР) та Україною.The article examines the issue of the origins of the term "Middle East" and its usage by the world's major powers (Great Britain, theUSA and the Soviet Union) and Ukraine.
